About Us
Family Promise of Greater New Braunfels prevents and ends homelessness for families with children by helping them achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response. As an Affiliate of Family Promise National—the leading organization providing prevention, shelter, stabilization, and housing programs—we work collaboratively with local partners to ensure families in crisis have the support they need to thrive.

 

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and organized Outreach & Fundraising Coordinator to provide vital administrative, fundraising, and outreach support to the Executive Director. This position plays a key role in advancing our mission by ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities, supporting donor and grant initiatives, and assisting with marketing, fundraising, and outreach efforts.

 

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, outgoing, creative, proficient in social media content creation, technologically adept, and able to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced nonprofit environment. Has a ‘can-do’ attitude and comfortable with public interaction and influence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support

  • Serve as the first point of contact for fundraising and donor initiatives; respond to inquiries and direct communications appropriately.

  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics for organizational events and donor meetings.

  • Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems, including donor and media files.

  • Support the Executive Director with administrative tasks such as expense reporting, bank deposits, revenue reconciliation, and invoice processing.

Advancement Coordination

  • Support donor stewardship efforts by drafting acknowledgment letters, tracking gifts, and preparing donor reports.

  • Assist with grant management and reporting processes.

  • Maintain and update donor databases (e.g., APLOS, DonorBox, Stripe, etc.).

  • Support fundraising campaigns and events, including planning, invitations, RSVPs, and on-site coordination.

  • Compile and distribute fundraising reports and campaign analytics.

Marketing & Communications

  • Assist in coordinating marketing projects and ensuring deadlines are met.

  • Help maintain the organization’s website and social media channels with engaging and timely content.

  • Coordinate the production and distribution of marketing materials, newsletters, and donor communications.

  • Maintain media assets and brand libraries to ensure consistency across materials.

General Support

  • Collaborate with staff and partners to ensure alignment and efficiency across programs.

  • Participate in team meetings and strategic planning sessions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Advancement and Marketing efforts.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience (Bachelor’s degree preferred).

  • Minimum 2 years  in development, fundraising, outreach, marketing, or communications.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.

  • Social Media Content Creation a must

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.

  • Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.

  • Familiarity with marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).

  • Event planning or coordination experience.

  • Familiarity with CRM and content management systems preferred but not required.

Working Conditions

  • Typical office environment with potential hybrid work flexibility.

  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for events or campaigns.

Compensation

  • Full-time (Exempt): Starting wage at $48,000 exempt (eq$23.07/hr). 

  • Hybrid 4/1 schedule available after 30 days.
    OR

  • Part-time (Non-Exempt): $22/hour for 24 on-site hours per week.

  • Mileage reimbursement provided for approved work-related travel.

Accountability

Reports to: Executive Director
